Mme El says her mind boggles at the thought of ‘marriage’ between people of the same sex. How can that be? It’s too outrageous an idea and no, she won’t hear any more of that. I told her that my mind boggled, too, years ago, but that it was a matter of tolerance and equal opportunity, a matter of social rights, and what harm do these people do? And does anybody know how they feel inside themselves? They wouldn’t create their own problems deliberately, would they? It must be nature’s doing, against society. She became pensive and then burst out with a laugh ‘I’ll marry you!’.
